Governance

Modern Woodmen has a member-focused, representative form of government. When in session, the National Convention acts as the governing body of the organization. Every four years, member delegates:
  • Elect Modern Woodmen’s board of directors and officers.
  • Communicate suggestions for the organization.
  • Discuss and vote on proposals for changes to Modern Woodmen’s By-Laws.
The voting body also reviews Modern Woodmen’s progress since the last National Convention.

“We have benefitted from the wisdom of those who came before us, and we will benefit in the future through adherence to those same values and principles.” – President W. Kenny Massey, speaking to Modern Woodmen’s National Convention, June 28, 2010.
