I’m a … Modern Woodmen financial representative in Lincoln, Neb.

My family includes … my wife, Cassidy, and daughter Marli, 18 months.

Before Modern Woodmen, I was … a paramedic for four years. There were long hours and I was away from my family a lot pulling 24-hour shifts.

Why I began a career with Modern Woodmen … After we had Marli, I wanted to spend more time with my family. But I still wanted to help people. A few of my close friends are representatives in my hometown. They turned me on to all the benefits of a career with Modern Woodmen.

I chose Modern Woodmen because … of the fraternalism. Through our chapters in the community, we can help people and give back. Recently, we raised money for a little girl with cancer, and Modern Woodmen matched the amount raised. That’s just one example of how we help people.

The best part of my career is … being out in the community and making a difference. It’s not about the money for me. It’s about helping people.
