Summit Chapter activities, for members age 55 and over, reflect today's active lifestyles. These activities include:
- Community Days - social activities featuring an easy-to-do service component. One Community Day each year involves an intergenerational activity with young family members or a Modern Woodmen youth service club.
- Volunteer Activities - a national day of service activity or Matching Funds community fundraiser event.
- Educational Events - covering topics including Medicare and Social Security, long-term care and estate planning. Presentations are made by qualified speakers, such as a Modern Woodmen financial representative.
- Hometown Heroes - programs honoring local individuals who have exhibited heroism or delivered extraordinary community service.
Summit Chapters that meet specific requirements, achieving platinum status, receive a special stipend. This stipend may be used to hold special events, such as a bus trip or picnic, or it may be donated to a community need or local nonprofit organization.
The Summit Chapter Celebration is an annual, nationwide event open exclusively to Summit Chapter members. In 2011, members cruised to Cozumel, Mexico. The 2012 destination is Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
