Volunteer Activities
Across the nation, our chapters and their members identify community needs and respond to those needs with the programs described here.

Join Hands Day
Each year, the first Saturday in May brings generations together through volunteering.
Matching Fund Program
Chapter members conduct fundraisers, and Modern Woodmen matches the amount they raise up to $2,500.

Good Neighbors Program
With financial help from Modern Woodmen, local chapters perform hands-on labor to repair and beautify their local areas.
Care and Share Program
Modern Woodmen gives chapters money to purchase basic life necessities for those who are less fortunate.

Make a Difference Day
This program encourages chapter members nationwide to spend the fourth Saturday in October making a difference in their communities.
Hometown Hero Program
Each year our Modern Woodmen chapters honor local individuals for their service to their communities or acts of heroism.

Plant a Tree Program
Modern Woodmen chapters beautify local communities by planting trees. It's a great way for families to work together.

Summit Chapter Volunteer Activities
Summit chapters, for Modern Woodmen members age 55 and over, impact communities through volunteer service.
