JOIN HANDS DAY brings kids and adults together

Young people and adults worked together today to tackle a community-improvement project and bridge the generation gap by taking part in JOIN HANDS DAY.

This second annual, national day of volunteer service was sponsored by America’s fraternal life insurance societies, including Modern Woodmen of America, along with the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network.

JOIN HANDS DAY gives young people and adults across the country an opportunity to work together on improvement projects in their own neighborhoods, develop friendships and get to know each other. Adult and youth organizations become partners for the entire JOIN HANDS DAY process, from the planning stages through the event, bridging the generation gap along the way.
