Modern Woodmen adds to member benefits

Modern Woodmen of America recently added two new programs to its lineup of fraternal member benefits. Members of the fraternal financial services organization can now lower their prescription drug costs and their anxiety about their children in case of emergency.

Modern Woodmen's new Child Identification Program offers parents the peace of mind of having their children's information at hand in case of emergency. And their children will know how to get help if needed.

The free kit stores fingerprints, DNA samples, personal information, medical and dental records, and a photograph. The kit's Safe Shoes Child ID™ feature provides a label that attaches to the inside of a child's shoe, listing phone numbers and names of people the child or a trusted adult can call for help.

The organization's Prescription Drug Discount Program provides a prescription card that's honored by numerous participating pharmacies across the country. Provided through ScriptSave, the program is especially helpful for members who have no prescription drug coverage. It may also be helpful for those who have plans with high deductibles, maximum limits, or that don't cover certain medicines.

Both programs are available free to Modern Woodmen members nationwide. "As a fraternal financial services organization, Modern Woodmen touches lives with more than quality financial products," says Modern Woodmen Fraternal Director Byron Carlson. "Helping members achieve quality of life is at the core of everything we do."

According to Carlson, Modern Woodmen members have access to a variety of other free fraternal member benefits. "These new programs are just two of the many ways we're able to give back to our members and their families in good times and times of need," Carlson says. Members may also qualify for college scholarships, grief assistance, financial assistance for premium payments during times of hardship and other benefits.

Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal benefit society based in Rock Island, Ill. Modern Woodmen serves more than 750,000 members nationwide, offering life insurance, annuity and investment products, along with fraternal member benefits for families and their communities.
