Denis Prior
Denis P. Prior is national secretary at Modern Woodmen of America. In this position, he has direct responsibility for 12 operational departments and provides administrative support for all other departments at Modern Woodmen's home office.

Prior began his career with Modern Woodmen in July 1971. He served in various positions in the Issue and Members’ Service departments before being named manager of Members’ Service in August 1980. He was named manager of the Issue department in 1982 and served in that position until 2003 when he was appointed assistant national secretary. In 2009, Prior was named national secretary.

Prior holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Ambrose University and has earned the Fellow, Life Management Institute and LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellowship designations. He is a member of the Life Office Management Association, the Davenport Soccer Association and Our Lady of Victory Parish, where he served as president of the parish council. He also serves on the board of the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities, LIMRA, the Scott Community College Accounting/Business Management Advisory Board and is a member of The Association for Work Process Improvement and the World Future Society.

Prior and his wife Linda have four sons. They live in Davenport, Iowa.
