Through the Plant A Tree Program each member can receive one free tree seedling* per year. It’s easy! Members simply order one of nine possible trees online, and we’ll ship it to them at the appropriate time for planting.
Not only can each member plant a tree each year, camps, clubs and Ecology Awareness Program users are also eligible to participate in Plant A Tree!
Program benefits
This program benefits members and their communities in many ways. For starters, it:
- Beautifies yards and community areas
- Allows a member to recognize a family milestone such as a birth, wedding or remembrance
- Improves the environment
- Can be a fun family project!
Types of trees
Participants can choose between the following trees:
- Red Oak
- Red Maple
- Sugar Maple
- Bald Cypress
- Redbud
- Colorado Blue Spruce
- Flowering Crab
- Trees for Wildlife package includes three trees:
- Flowering Crab
- Washington Hawthorn
- Canadian Hemlock
