The Step One^® plan is easy to obtain. No medical exam is required; just answer a few health questions in the application. All children and young adults, newborn to age 25, are eligible for $10,000 or $25,000 of coverage until they reach age 30. You choose the amount of coverage that best fits your needs and budget.

Advantages  

Affordable premiums 
This is a low-cost term life insurance product. Regular premiums remain level until the insured’s 30th birthday. Or choose to make just one convenient payment when you first purchase the plan.  

Protection against disability
If you pay with regular premiums, your certificate will include the Waiver of Premium Benefit. Contact your Modern Woodmen representative for details.  

Future insurability
Help assure yourself or your child life insurance protection for life. Convert the plan at any time to term or permanent life insurance protection of up to two times the original amount (up to $20,000 or $50,000 of coverage). No medical exam is required.

Option to increase coverage
Upon conversion, you could take advantage of guaranteed options to purchase additional amounts of life insurance at stated ages without providing evidence of insurability. Think of how valuable this could be in the future, especially if health problems develop later in life.

Valuable protection
The death benefit provides peace of mind for families and financial assistance in case tragedy strikes. Proceeds can be used to cover funeral and medical bills or pay off college expenses and other loans.
